The M-TAKA mixing glass is a product of a Japanese brand that is well-known for its condiment containers. In the world of bar tools, M-TAKA has gained global recognition for its exceptional mixing glasses and bitters bottles.
This glass is crafted using a specialized "turn-blowing" technique, where molten glass is rotated during the shaping process. This method results in a seamless, smooth surface free from visible joint lines, giving the glass a refined appearance.
The sides of the glass are adorned with a lattice-like cut pattern called Yarai (矢来), which translates to "arrows falling down," reflecting its design inspiration. This intricate pattern is hand-cut, meaning no two glasses are exactly alike. Unlike grooves made with molds, the hand-cut edges are crisp and sharp, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship.
Designed for functionality, the glass features a thick, weighted base that ensures stability. The bottom is uniquely rounded into a deep spherical shape, allowing for effortless and fluid stirring with a bar spoon.
Important Notes:
- Minor bubbles or slight distortions in the glass may occur due to the manufacturing process. These are natural and do not indicate defects.
- Variations in glass thickness, size, and weight are normal due to the handcrafted nature of the product.

Before You Buy – Stainless Steel Products
All items are brand new. Because these stainless steel products are handcrafted and undergo quality inspection, some pieces may show very, very minor, natural surface marks—this is normal for handmade items and does not affect their quality or functionality. Please note that returns cannot be accepted for these natural variations.
Compared to Boston shakers, these barely noticeable marks are more likely to appear on cobbler shakers(because there are more stainless steel contact surfaces), while the entire BIRDY product line has an even lower chance of showing such imperfections.
